Communities
We consult early and often. Feedback from local residents, parish councils and representative groups shapes the design of our schemes - from layout and screening to construction traffic routes.
Environment and biodiversity
Our sites retain existing woodland and hedgerows where possible and are designed to deliver a measurable net increase in biodiversity, with habitat management secured for the life of the project.
Land and farming
We seek lower grade agricultural land, avoid best and most versatile land where we can, and design schemes that allow farming activity such as grazing to continue alongside generation.
Consultation that changes the design
Consultation is only worthwhile if it changes something. On Tillbridge, feedback led to changes addressing impacts on farming, local wildlife and public rights of way - with no permanent or temporary closures to rights of way within the main site.
