Development consent granted for Tillbridge Solar Project
On behalf of the Secretary of State, the Minister for Energy Consumers granted development consent for the Tillbridge Solar Project on 14 October 2025.
The decision follows a six-month examination and a consultation process that began in July 2022. The scheme will use spare grid capacity released by the decommissioning of Cottam power station, with an agreement in place to connect to the National Grid by 2028.
Tillbridge Solar Limited is a joint venture between Tribus Clean Energy and Recurrent Energy. The consented project covers approximately 1,350 hectares and has generation capacity to meet the energy needs of around 300,000 homes.
