Working with

communities

Developers with a sense of responsibility.

The move to cleaner sources of energy means that new energy generation sites need to be developed.

Clearly, this can have an impact on people who live and work close to where these sites are located.

Tribus Clean Energy is one of very few businesses that has taken large scale solar and battery projects from initial concept all the way through the consenting process.

Community consultation

We do so in close consultation with the local community because
we understand that our projects will form a big part of local life
over many years.

So, it’s important to us that – as part of the design and project development process – we do more than simply listen to concerns. Where those concerns are reasonable, we take action to address them and mitigate them.

This includes protecting or enhancing local public rights of way
and installing acres of woodland or hedgerows to screen our sites from view.

Responsible development

As with many companies working in the clean energy sector, we want to do whatever we can to reduce emissions and achieve net zero. We also realise that, to achieve our aims, we need to create the kind of investment opportunities that reward stakeholders including landowners, investors, and the local communities where our projects are located.

We work hard to make sure that our sites have a positive impact on the landscape, aiming for a net gain in biodiversity where possible and using lower grades of agricultural land.

We also try to make sure that the local community is kept fully informed about our plans.

Our enviable track record shows that, time and again, we have been able to balance the various needs of stakeholders and meet the highest regulatory and statutory requirements.

Ultimately, building strong local relationships helps us to create viable, deliverable projects that enable us all to live in a cleaner, more sustainable world.
