Luke Murray

Chief Executive Officer

Luke founded Tribus Clean Energy in 2018 and serves as the CEO, providing overall strategic direction and leadership for the company. Under his guidance, Tribus has grown into a leading UK-based renewable energy developer specialising in large‑scale solar and battery storage projects.

With a strong entrepreneurial background, Luke previously co‑founded a carbon offsetting company and has advised both European and national governments on electric vehicle policy, low‑carbon transport strategies and the acceleration of clean technology adoption. His earlier career also includes delivering sustainable development programmes worldwide, giving him a deep understanding of environmental transitions, emerging markets and long‑term infrastructure planning.

As CEO, Luke sets the company’s vision, drives its commercial strategy and leads Tribus’ growth into new markets. He champions innovation, strong partnerships and high‑integrity project development, ensuring Tribus remains at the forefront of the UK’s transition to clean, secure and scalable renewable energy.

Matt Carpenter

Projects and Development Director

Matt serves as Project and Development Director at Tribus Clean Energy, bringing strong expertise in the consenting and delivery of major energy and infrastructure projects across both the public and private sectors.  With deep sector knowledge and a proven track record in renewable energy project development, Matt leads the full lifecycle of project delivery at Tribus, from early‑stage site identification and land strategy through to planning, environmental assessment, technical interfaces and stakeholder engagement. His ability to navigate complex regulatory frameworks and coordinate multidisciplinary inputs ensures that projects progress efficiently and maintain a robust consenting strategy.

In addition to his development expertise, Matt plays a central leadership role in overseeing project execution, ensuring alignment between commercial objectives, technical requirements and programme delivery. He works closely with partners, landowners, local authorities and community stakeholders to advance high‑quality solar and storage projects that are environmentally responsible and commercially resilient.

Scott Harker

Head of Projects

Scott joined Tribus from a leading communications agency where he provided stakeholder engagement support for energy and infrastructure projects.

In addition to this, Scott also worked on the pre-application and construction phases for several residential development projects.

Scott’s experience includes extensive involvement with pre-application consultation and engagement throughout the Development Consent Order examination process.

Nigel Chalmers

Strategy and Operations Director

Nigel serves as Strategic and Operational Director at Tribus Clean Energy, bringing extensive experience from across renewable energy, water, transportation, defence and urban development sectors in both the UK and international markets. His background in delivering complex, nationally significant infrastructure projects gives him an in-depth understanding of the technical, commercial and regulatory requirements of major energy projects.

In his role at Tribus, Nigel provides strategic leadership across the organisation, shaping company direction, strengthening internal capability and ensuring that Tribus’ long‑term vision is translated into effective operational delivery.  Nigel also leads business development and market strategy, identifying new opportunities, cultivating strategic partnerships and expanding Tribus’ presence across the UK renewable energy sector. His focus on innovation, commercial insight and long‑term growth contributes significantly to the company’s continued expansion and its position as a leading solar and storage developer.

Gergely Czuczor

Head of Technical Design

Gergely brings a diverse, international background that includes valuable experience at a leading technical advisory company.

His focus has been on various facets of energy engineering, environmental impact, and project management extending across several European countries, giving him an extensive understanding of the renewable energy landscape.

Gergely’s previous experience includes working at one of Europe’s largest engineering firms, gaining expertise in various commercial building technologies and renewable energy.

Stuart Tweedy

Senior Project Development Manager

Stuart has extensive experience working for large multi-disciplinary environmental consultancies in the UK and Australia on behalf of clients to deliver Environmental Impact Assessments primarily for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, including in the energy and transportation sectors.

He has worked on two Development Consent Orders for solar schemes in the UK, including managing teams of environmental professionals, coordinating design elements and taking part in consultation from feasibility through to examination stages.

William Shayshutt

Junior Project Development Manager

Will joined Tribus from an international engineering services consultancy where he provided planning, environmental and stakeholder engagement support on a variety of major infrastructure projects in the UK.

His previous experience of Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects has involved him taking projects from initial design and route selection, through to examination and discharging requirements. In addition, Will has valuable planning experience in smaller public and private sector schemes.

Danny Weston

Head of Finance

Danny is a chartered accountant who previously worked in the finance team at a leading business-to-business energy company, where he gained significant experience in the renewable and independent energy generation sectors, including the renewable energy certificate market.

In addition to this, Danny worked in external audit across a variety of industries, including sustainability consultancy and renewable energy investment.
